Jeff Gudin, MD is faculty at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine and Pain Management. He completed his residency in Anesthesiology at the Yale University School of Medicine and his fellowship at the Yale Center for Pain Management. For nearly 20 years, Dr. Gudin directed a Pain and Palliative Care program in New Jersey. He has authored numerous peer reviewed publications, and has assisted in drug development and analgesic clinical trial design. Dr Gudin was principal investigator on an NIH funded analgesic research project through the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS) to study the pharmacology and safety of a novel molecule/ formulation for the treatment of pain. Dr. Gudin remains active in teaching and research and has lectured internationally on pain management, palliative care and addiction medicine. He was previous Co-Editor in Chief of the journal Practical Pain Management.

Dr. Jeffrey J. Bettinger, PharmD, is a Pain Management Clinical Pharmacist with Saratoga Hospital Medical Group in Saratoga, NY. He earned his PharmD from Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences in 2017. Following his doctoral training, he completed a PGY1 and PGY2 Pain and Palliative Care residency at the Stratton VAMC in Albany, NY.
Dr. Bettinger’s current position with SHMG involves him working alongside primary care providers where he specializes in complex and high-risk pain medication management through direct patient care and electronic consult services. He consults regularly with their inpatient team for acute pain cases, as well as various other specialists.
Aside from his clinical expertise, he has served on several boards for different pain organizations including SPPCP and AAPM.
